THE PATH OF LIFE.

The Big DayMarch 1st, 2012
The big day is here.

My recent thoughts.

“If you see kay.

Tell him he may.

See you in tea.

Tell him from me.” Ulysses, James Joyce.

It is beyond desire that 2012 and I are to be better considered strangers. Another momentous year in which the world never ended defying all predictions from the Mayans and crazy pastors is now fast receding into history. It had its highs and lows as it would be expected with life. I am grateful that God found it fit to carry me through the turbulence of the year 2012 to safe harbour of 2013. I have in many ways become a better man than I was in 2011, I listen more, spend most of my free time with my family, drink when need be and I am more patient. The hoopla of politicians and politics has not made me get excited about the prospects of the dream of equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity being realised through these two catalysts.

I am walking into the hall of 2013 in a better shape on all fronts. I am working on my abilities and personalities with a keen eye. My agenda of 2013 is to continue on the path of freeing up my mind, desire less and live light, in body, mind and soul. The state must at all times act with responsibility and accountability if it will expect my co-operation, true faith and allegiance. I will live according to the just laws of the land and the world, and disobey those that do not deserve to be laws. The fine line is what will determine whether I comply. Plus I know Ocampo scared the hell out of warlords I expect peaceful election and post-election periods.

On elections, they are reeking with deceit and moral decadence, hooliganism has become the new normal in Kenyan politics. So far I do not like or admire the policies being practiced by the politicians, none of the candidates standing for president (with suspect motives) has won over my vote and I may not vote for a president, I am not about to be hoodwinked either by deed or affiliation. That aside, I will give praise when due and criticism when necessary to whoever or whatever the majority of the voters give the mandate to govern and lead this nation to the future

And I will definitely remember to always wash behind my ears!
